got fired for this. (Abandoned my shoe shop for six days in Sale time, on 24
hours notice and something of a whim.) Fuck it. Rolf Harris alone was worth
that…
N.B. I spent a LOT of time in the Cabaret
Tent this year. (Well this was a festival headlined by Coldplay, the
Stereophonics, and Rod Stewart.) Given my memory for other people’s routines,
and accompanying resentfulness towards any comedians loath to write new
material in a 12 month period (if you’re good enough for me to want to see you
more’n once, you should live up to your potential & justify my affectionate
return), while reading it should be remembered that those people who I haven’t
seen before probably come in for an easier (objective?) ride than others who
have tickled my funny bone on times previous.
